The San Gennaro Feast

The San Gennaro Feast of the North End celebrates the patron and protector of Naples, San Gennaro. His intervention is believed to have slowed the 1631 eruption of
Mt Vesuvius.

Every year in September, merchants and visitors of the North End gather to celebrate with food, music and a procession of San Gennaro’s statue, which was blessed by Pope Francis.

This year, the San Gennaro Feast has partnered with Michael Francis Intoccia and his Mikey’s Voice for Autism Foundation to raise money to benefit families of autistic children that need financial assistance to purchase items that will help their development.
